礼拜天，妈妈给我买了美国作家伯纳德韦伯的《勇气》。这是一本绘本，漂亮的插图，简朴的文字，其中所蕴涵的道理却良多良多。我反复咀嚼书中的文字，看似简朴的文字却让人回味。
勇气是什么呢？作者对勇气作了诠释：
“勇气，是你第一次骑自行车不用安全轮。”“勇气，是你有两块糖，却能留一块到第二天。”“勇气，是你知道一个大秘密，却允许对谁也不说”……
书中，35种可贵的勇气，有的令人敬畏，有的平寻常常。马戏团里“空中飞人”的表演，这是令人敬畏的勇气；上探太空，下探深海，这也是令人敬畏的勇气。而改掉小小的坏习惯，这是平寻常常的勇气。总之不管是哪一种，勇气就是勇气。
《勇气》带给我许多的感慨和共识，让我不中断的倾听自己内心的声音。
当我在环湖花园游泳馆学游泳时，听到妈妈让我和伙伴比赛谁有勇气——从岸上跳下1.8米深的游泳池并游回浅水区这个近乎“无情”的命令时，心惊胆战的我连腿都瑟瑟发抖了。是妈妈不中断鼓励我的眼神，是教练示范尺度的动作，让我终于鼓起勇气，小心地踩到泳池的边沿，再也不犹豫，往下一跳……哈！我成功了！这就是勇气！、
当我第一次作为升旗手上台演讲时，我的心别提有多紧张了。是台下一千多名同学赞赏的目光给了我无比的自豪和自信。我被授予升旗手缎带，望着胸前鲜红的缎带，我的心中也升腾起一团火焰。我向前跨了一步，在强烈热闹的掌声中顺利地完成了自己的演讲。这就是勇气。
在糊口中，勇气无处不在。“5.12”地震时，林浩不顾自己的安危，从地震废墟中背出两名同学这是令人敬畏的勇气；“11.15”胶州路火灾中，消防叔叔奋不顾身，冲向火场，救出了许多居民，这是令人敬畏的的勇气；捡到钱包按捺住诱惑还给失主，这是平寻常常的勇气。
掩卷沉思，哦，我明白了——不管是哪一种，勇气就是勇气。由于勇气是一种精神的气力，人格的气力，聪明的气力。拥有这种气力，我们就能独自越过难题堆成的高山；拥有这种气力，我们就能克服糊口的磨难；拥有这种气力，我们就能成为命运的主宰，扬起胜利的风帆……
