1、彭德怀功高不恃

2、列宾的回信

5、钱学森的谦逊

2、吴玉章虚心求教
有一次吴玉章老人正在抄写他1942年写的《和朱总司令游南泥湾》这首诗，准备寄给《红旗飘飘》编辑部。其中有两句是“纵横百余里，回乱成荒地”。“回乱”是说清朝镇压了回民起义，使南泥湾更加荒凉了。在旁边的小服务员说这两个字不妥，吴老马上停下笔，谦逊地问：“你提得好，你现说说怎么改呢?”小服务员说改为“回剿”较好，吴老马上就这样改了。事后吴老对小服务员说：“你是我的一字之师!”
3、彭德怀改诗
红军长征胜利之后，毛主席曾赠诗彭德怀同志：“山高路远坑深，大军纵横驰奔，谁敢横刀立马，惟我彭大将军。”彭德怀同志看后将末句改作“惟我英勇红军”。抗美援朝结束后，有一次彭德怀出国访问，当他听到称颂他是“百战百胜的将军”、“创造奇迹的英雄”时，他立刻纠正说：“我是一个普通的军人，打过胜仗，也打过败仗。”还嘱咐翻译，凡是吹捧他的话一律不要翻给他听，免得他听了脸红。
4、列宁的谦虚
列宁对革命事业做了很大贡献，他的功绩无法估量。可是他从来不谈自己的功劳。谁都知道，二月革命是在以列宁为首的布尔什维克党的领导下进行的。但是填写履历表的时候，列宁只写了这样一句：“1917年曾作为一个普通党员参加过二月革命。”
5、李嘉诚的谦逊
