If you travel from the outside to Ya’an along a wide and clean road, you will arrive at a beautiful place which only can appear in your dream, But now , I will tell you that you are not dreaming. This beautiful place named“TianQuan”─my hometown, it stands near the Qingyi river at the foot of Erlang mountain, It is a small city covered by green and it’s famous for the beautiful scenery, excellent climate and long history.
In the past, it was poor. People who once came here did not want to come again ，why？The streets were full of rubbishes and the buildings were old and small，when there were strong winds the buildings were shaking as if they wanted to say “Hello”to you.
But today，with the lead of our government, many changes have taken place，life is much better than before。
First, flowing on modern agriculture, the leader guide peasants to use advanced technology to develop agriculture.Such as ,keeping chickens in cages, planting fruit trees. As a result, the economy developed reasonably.
Tourism is another way to develop economy .You know that there are many interesting places in Tianquan. If you come to visit these places, the people there will offer the best for you and give you a lot of pleasure. The most famous one is “Laba He”。There, the air is so clear and you can see trees and mountains everywhere some said：“In summer it is green like a fountain，and in winter it is white like a white jade, so it attracts thousands of towns from all over the world ”。
Finally，the leaders pay much attention to the education，They have trained more and more skilled person. Most of then come back to our hometown and devote all their loves to our hometown.
In order to build our hometown into a land of economic prosperity, political stability and beautiful landscape. I once came across an American tourist. She said, “China has a history of five thousand years, but the US only has a history of 200 years. Five thousand years ago, China took the lead in the world, and now it is the US that is leading.” My heart was deeply touched by these words. It is true that we're still a developing nation, but it doesn't mean that we can despise (鄙视) ourselves. We have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. 我的家乡在青阳县酉华镇宋冲村，位于青阳东面，是一个美丽而有着悠久历史的小山村。听外公说，宋冲村是个革命老区。
走进村口，你会看到一个高大古朴的门楼，上面有六个金色大字“革命老区宋冲”。两边还有一副对联，上联是“昔日游击根据地”，下联是“今朝最美新农村”。
门楼两旁还有一对石狮子，威风凛凛的样子，仿佛在守护着这个小山村。顺着水泥路往前走，你会发现家家户户的房屋很有特色，屋顶全是石片做瓦，青灰色的石片瓦和白色的墙壁搭配的十分自然，古色古香。
村子中间有三间平房，门口牌子上写着“宾山革命纪念馆”。馆内陈列着一些东西，有刀具、子弹、书籍等等。特别引人注目的是，还有一双草鞋，外公说，那是革命战争时期战士穿过的'草鞋。
宋冲村四面环山，山上的毛竹郁郁葱葱，有的粗如碗口，有的细如毛笔，山脚下是一片片碧绿的茶园，到了采茶季节，这里的家家户户都忙着采茶、做茶，整个村庄都被浓郁的茶香包围着。

If you could change one important thing about your hometown， what would you change？ Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer.
If I could change one thing about my hometown， I think it would be the fact that theres no sense of community here. People dont feel connected， they dont look out for each other， and they dont get to know their neighbors.
People come and go a lot here. They change jobs requently and move on. This means that they dont put down roots in the community. They dont join community organizations and theyre not willing to get involved in trying to improve the quality of life. If someone has a petition to put in a new streetlight， she has a very hard time getting a lot of people to sign.
They dont feel it has anything to do with them. They ont get involved in improving the schools because they dont think the quality of education is important to their lives. They dont see the connection between themselvesand the rest of their community.
People dont try to support others around them. They dont keep a friendly eyes on their children， or check in on older folks if they dont see them for a few days. Theyre not aware when people around them may be going through a hard time. For example， they may not know if a neighbor loses a loved one. Theres not a lot of community support for individuals.
Neighbors dont get to know each other. Again， this is because people come and go within a few years. So when neighbors go on vacation， no one is keeping an eye on their house. No one is making sure nothing suspicious is going on there， like lights in the middle of the night. When neighbors children are cutting across someones lawn on their bikes， theres no friendly way of casually mentioning the problem. People immediately act as if its a major property disagreement.
My hometown is a nice place to live in many ways， but it would be much nice if we had that sense of community.

When we mentioned Zhangjiakou, my hometown, we were likely to think of Zhan Tianyou who was a Chinese famous railway engineer. He established the first self-build railway in China that was called Bejing-Zhang Jiakou Railway even women and children all know. The achievement of the railway added a brilliant page in the history of the Chinese industrial construction.
Virtually, Zhang Jiakou which was divided into six districts and twelve counties is a medium-size city located in the northwest of Hebei Province. So, the temperature in winter is freezing cold. Its temperature which is richly endowed by nature makes it possible to conduct a series of ice activities. Thus, the 20xx Winter Olympic Games will be held in Beijing, also in my hometown which was greeted with” City of Ice and Snow". Besides, the position that borders with Inner Mongolia makes it have quite a few prairies. Riding horses is what we are used to doing.
For the majority of Chinese, their cognition of the cuisine of China northwest is just limited to Peking Duck and Roast lamb which have already been famous throughout the country. But honestly speaking, as an authentic native, I prefer oat noodle Honeycomb which we call it “Youmianwowo”. It comes from a kind of grain that originally grows in the north of North China Plain. When I come across this special dish in the restaurant, I always think of my grandma. She always makes this dish all by hand. She firstly rubs dough into slices. After that, she shapes them around the index finger, and then finally makes them stand up in the food steamer. It always reminded me of my homesick, especially when this dish was served with a rich, hearty mutton soup.
Zhang Jiakou, also known for a battle among ancestors of Chinese nation named Yan Emperor, Yellow Emperor and Chi You in Zhuolu, a county filled with the early Chinese civilization. In addition, one of the nine defensive cities along the Great Wall in Ming Dynasty was in Xuan Hua, Zhang Jiakou. So, it was named by "Great Wall Museum" as well, for it has the largest number of the Great Wall that is still existing. Therefore, Zhang Jiakou is a historic city that was the source of Chinese Nation. And in recent time, due to the special military geographical location, my hometown is the native place of many famous people, especially some heroes who were devoted to the Anti-Japanese War. Dong Cunrui was one of the heroes who applied himself to the liberation of our Chinese nation. All these impressive deeds remind our locals to learn their valuable spirit and their struggle for our peaceful life. But now, Jing-Jin-Ji Regional Cooperation has caught lots of talented characters and brought my hometown a great concept of development, and Im sure that Zhang Jiakou will give us a new image with the significant culture and advanced technology, also the spirit of persist.

In the east of the world, there is an ancient kingdom that is beautiful and vast, hardworking and strong. It is China. In this beautiful and prosperous country, there is a vast fertile land of 1950 square kilometers, which is my lovely hometown - Lixin. On May 1, 1965, the young and beautiful Lixin was built in the northwest of Anhui.
When it comes to my hometown, in the minds of many people, it is synonymous with poverty and backwardness: low and chaotic houses, crowded and dirty streets, disorderly small vendors along the streets, and vegetable markets littered with garbage and flies... Yes, if time had flowed back more than ten years, she would indeed be dilapidated, and compared to today, it would not be an exaggeration to say that she is unsightly.
