上个星期三，爸爸出差了，因此，接送我上学放学的任务便落在了舅舅的肩上。这天早上，阳光明媚，由于睡过了头，便匆匆忙忙地跟舅舅走出了家门，只见舅舅发动车子，车子便咆哮着奔向学校。途中，一名“警察”——红绿灯将我们拦截下来。这时，舅舅的一个小动作吸引了我，瞧，他正在一个劲地左顾右盼，似乎哥伦布发现了新大陆一般，我的好奇心冲嘴而出：“舅舅，您干什么呀？”他并不理睬，只是默不作声地瞟了我一眼。
突然“呼、呼、呼”车子便向前猛冲，“闯红灯”这个念头迅速掠过我的脑子，想起之前看到一个骑自行车的男子由于闯红灯，被呼啸而来的汽车辗在了轮下的惨状。我立刻说：“舅舅，您为什么要闯红灯？太危险了”“住口，不过白不过。”舅舅说，“这么早，反正没摄像头和警察。”我反驳道：“闯红灯是违反了交通规则，太危险了！你不应该这样拿自己的生命开玩笑。”舅舅听了，立刻破口大骂道：“你吵什么吵？如果不是你要七点到校，我才懒得管你呢！”我顿时被骂得狗血淋头，心想：你可真是狗咬吕洞宾——不识好人心。乱闯红灯，不仅是拿自己的生命在开玩笑。也是对他人生命的一种漠视，这跟故意犯罪没什么区别。

One reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything. Another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort. If we do not try again, the lesson we have learned is wasted. Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 20xx Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.
Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?

现在，总有些人在抱怨，坑蒙拐骗者有之，欺瞒诈骗者有之，毫不利人专门利己者有之。食品安全问题、城市安全问题、社会道德的滑坡种种事例让每个人都产生着不安全感和不信任感。很多人会说再也不相信人是善良的，不相信诚信，不相信真情。殊不知，在道德的主流高地上，绝大多数人都在坚守。我曾经看到过这样一则新闻：20xx年的一天，扬州大学附属中学17岁的学生徐砺寒骑自行车去上学。在经过一辆宝马车旁边时，无意中将这辆车的后视镜撞坏了，车身也被蹭掉一块漆。车主不在，他却没有溜走，而是选择在原地等待车主。后来因赶着上课，只好留下“联系纸条”欲赔偿。这件事在微博上引起轰动，徐砺寒也因此被网友称为“诚信中学生”。

亲爱的老师，同学们：
大家好!
记得某一位作家曾这样说过，重要的不是成功，而是奋斗的过程。这句话，正告诉我们，人的一生是奋斗的一生，人们为了取得成功都在不断的努力着，不停奋斗着。成功是奋斗的结果，而奋斗是成功的.必经之路。
我还记得那是去年七月中旬，那时特别热，因为那时正是酷热，我正在外面玩，不一会儿我就热的不行，这时我突然想到了游泳，嗯，那正是避署的好方法，可我不会游泳啊!哼，不怕，我学，所以我和妈妈爸爸就去了鄂尔多斯游泳馆，我的游泳课就从这里开始了，虽说我信心百倍，但我还是心惊肉跳的，我慢慢的下了水，哇!好舒服。好!开始训练，爸爸先教我憋气，爸爸让我深吸一口气，然后下到水里，一点点把嘴里面的气放掉，我照做了，可我的头一下水，就不行了，因为一下水，耳朵鼻子里就进水了。害得我呛了一下，喝了一肚子的水。哇!有半游泳池吧。我又练了几次还是不行，可我已经喝饱了，我想放弃了，爸爸又鼓励我说：“加油，不要放弃，你可以的!”于是我又鼓起勇气，准备喝水了，我又练了N次，终于会了，下面练游法，妈妈告诉我，把手弯曲，在水里手划一下脚蹬一下，我试着做，哎呀，怎么沉了，然后我不服气，又练了几次，可就像水里有块磁铁在吸我，怎么也浮不起来，我又练了N+1次。终于会了，我顿时感到特别自豪，我终于会游泳了，我好高兴。通过这件事我明白了，人生的道路是艰难的，但是只要我们坚持不懈，披荆斩棘，就可以达到自已理想的目标。
正因为有了寒冷的相衬，秋菊才那样明艳美丽，正因为与霜雪斗争，蜡梅才显得楚楚动人。坚强的面对，坚强的斗争，坚强的奋斗，才能让生命之花开得更加绚烂。
